My boys, my dearhearts.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I left my hometown for the foggy hills and captivating charm of San Francisco. In 2000, I became a wedding photographer, and one of my very first weddings took place on the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Weddings would take me all over northern California and around the world. Eventually, I opened a storefront studio in San Francisco where I also created dog portraits, a passion sparked by my beloved pug, Bogie. During my career, I made the coveted list of American Photo magazine’s Top 10 Wedding Photographers, and I’ve been featured and published in various consumer and industry magazines such as Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Rangefinder, and Photo District News (PDN). After more than a decade photographing weddings, I decided to close my studio and focus on motherhood. Since then, I have made my home in Sacramento with my family and dogs. In 2016, inspired by my children and love of family, I created Dearheart Studios for children and families, couples in love, and lovers of dogs. I also freelance for two Sacramento social magazines, The Heart of East Sac, which highlights the residents of the celebrated Fab 40’s, and Sierra Oaks Life. It is my joy to document life’s beautiful moments, and create honest, artful photographs to be cherished.
